Tzaangors can't take the Icon of Flame?

Hi guys, I have the collectors edition of the codex, I just want to double check with people that the normal edition also doesn't allow Tzaangors to take the Icon of Flame. 

 

The reason i am asking is a lot of folks seem to think you can put one with them, but it doesn't say you can in their data sheet.

It's not on their datasheet in the version I have (ePub, which is the "standard" version)

So I am just gonna assume the folks saying take the Icon have just made a small mistake. Seems pretty straight forward, just double checking! :D

That's a good catch, I've just double-checked and the Index does indeed allow them to take the Icon of Flame, which is presumably where this is coming from.

Nope they cannot, and neither can SOT's.

 

Only Rubric Marines can take an Icon of Flame.

the link is on one of the threads below, someone posted a GW flow chart showing if it is a war gear option in your index and not in the codex you can still take it, so a tzangoor unit still can.

That's a good question for the FAQ, if it was intentional or not. Either way you could take the index version and be fine.

Turns out the FAQ released today means they can take the icon!

I'd say good times. If you're running an MSU build with lots of Transports or other movement enhancement, you could kill 3 or 4 models over the course of the game and pay for 5 or 6 Icons....but that's something you do because you already WANT to run MSU, not something you build a whole army around.
