Dracos
Has anyone done or seen a conversion of the Culexus that was either based on a Space Marine model or at least looked like it belonged in he same army? The official model isn’t horrific, but neither does it really work for me. I have this idea of a Marine who instead of becoming a Librarian mutated into something akin to the Culexus during his time as a neophyte. He lives in isolation, away from the rest of the Chapter due to his becoming a Blank and receives his orders exclusively from the Chapter Master. I have this rough concept of using the Primaris Chaplain as the basis for a conversion but was hoping someone else had blazed this trail before me and I could gain inspiration from their work :) Much Appreciation - Dracos Kierdale 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344469-space-marine-culexus/ Share on other sites
derLumpi
I did a Spcae Marine version. Haven't thought about the backstory. Since I'm in the office now I can post a picture tonight. Used half a Necron head and half Space Marine head to indicate the Animus Speculum. Dracos
I really like the Primaris Chaplain model but I'm nit a fan of Chaplains with my play style. So I plan on shaving/detaching as much as the accoutrements as possible, shedding the pauldrons, power pack and replace the Absolver pistol with a psy-cannon if I can find a bit with a one handed grip. derLumpi
That is my version. Just a different head. :) Zopha, Dracos and Honda 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344469-space-marine-culexus/#findComment-5014858 Share on other sites
StraightSilver
I would think the Riever models might work better for an assassin? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344469-space-marine-culexus/#findComment-5014936 Share on other sites
Dracos
derLumpi: I like that head conversion. You can feel it’s something more than bionic :) StraightSilver: Reiver is a good idea also but I want to hide as much power armor as possible .... and the Chappie is just a sweet model. I think I can “fix” the breastplate, it’s he leg I’ll probably just have to go with. My hands aren’t what they use to be so this should be an interesting exercise. What I need is to find a Grey Knight player who can trade a plastic psycannon. derLumpi
Thanks. It's not much and I think he would look better if he was painted. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344469-space-marine-culexus/#findComment-5015992 Share on other sites
