Vanger
I bought the Sector Imperialis bases for the purpose of rebasing my armies. Most of the bases are a 1:1 match, or in the case of 25mm they need to be migrated to 32mm. So far so good. But what about bikes? The shop says that they come with the 25mm x 50mm bases, but that has no direct counterpart. Is there maybe a chart what base to use? Or if there is no official standpoint on this, which one to use? The 75mm or 90mm oval bases? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344530-which-oval-bases-to-use-for-biker-units/ Share on other sites
Major_Gilbear
Whatever bases the models are shipped with are "legal" in terms of tournaments and rules. That's about as official as GW have ever been on base sizes, and it means that different generations and re-packs of models have had different base sizes over the years. For example, the older 1st and 2nd edition metal Terminator models all came on 25mm round bases for example, and it's be "legal" to use them on such bases even though most modern Terminators now come on 40mm round bases. More recent examples include plastic Daemons that come on 32mm rather than 25mm round bases. The current latest size of base GW seems to be using for bikes is a 75mm x 42mm oval. However, if you still have the older pill-shaped bases, they are also fine. Hope that helps (at least a bit)? ;) Vanger 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344530-which-oval-bases-to-use-for-biker-units/#findComment-5013508 Share on other sites
Vanger
Thank you, that helps a lot! I tried to look at cavalry, jetbikes and other similar units, but missed the Deathwatch box :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344530-which-oval-bases-to-use-for-biker-units/#findComment-5013524 Share on other sites
