Brother Bish
Hey everyone, I finally got around to making a step-by-step for the Talonmaster Jetbike conversion I posted last week. You can see it on Chamber42 here: Talonmaster Jetbike Conversion Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344616-ravenwing-talonmaster-jetbike-conversion-step-by-step/ Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
Hey dude, gave it a quick look, and unfortunately it's not phone friendly, even in desktop mode. All the pics are centred outside of the...frames and cut off :( I'll give it another go later once I'm @home. Brother Chaplain Tyranus
Hey this is really good. I really like how it turned out. You gonna be painting it? ephrael
That is a great conversion and write up. I’ve been wanting to use these jetbikes instead of the Scimitar pattern for my HH DA and I think it will work if I follow your tutorial. I’ll be trying it with plain biker legs instead of robes so I’ll let you know how it goes. Cheers, Jono Didn't have any problems with it on desktop browers but I fixed the phone issue shortly after I posted it up. The thumbnails got cut off a bit on one side, but it should be fixed now. Let me know if it still causes you an issue and if it does, what browsers, desktop and mobile you are using. Brother Bish
Hey this is really good. I really like how it turned out. You gonna be painting it? Yes eventually, but it might be a little ways off. We are in the process of trying to move to a bigger place and I have a 16 month old son that makes having painting time difficult. But I am hoping by sometime this summer we will be in a bigger place and I will have room and time to start painting again. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344616-ravenwing-talonmaster-jetbike-conversion-step-by-step/#findComment-5015759 Share on other sites

Project XXVIII
Bish - Is there anyway you could link to a size comparision between your Talonmaster conversion and the default Corvex from GW? I know you posted it elsewhere, but I'm sure some of the gents/ladies here wouldn't mind a size comparision. In your opinion is the bulk large enough to say, have these conversions represent Sableclaw/Talonmaster, and the normal GW Corvex as still "Jetbike scale" so to speak? In your opinion is the bulk large enough to say, have these conversions represent Sableclaw/Talonmaster, and the normal GW Corvex as still "Jetbike scale" so to speak? Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you. The only image I have of this Jetbike next to Corvex is this one, which isn't all that great. http://chamber42.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/B22CD3AE-9293-48FC-A682-B302CE2CABDD-e1520718156432.jpeg I am finishing up my Sammael conversion, and will take better photos when I take those. As far as size it's not that much bigger than Corvex and half as wide as Sableclaw but the same length. I am personally going to be using this as a counts as Sableclaw/Talonmaster, but I have seen Corvex conversions with the Custodes bike as welll. Both Jetbikes and Landspeeders are measured from the base now so the size of the model itself is not that big a deal, you would just want to use a 60mm base, but even then I'm not convinced that makes a huge difference either. Base size is pretty fluid in 40k. Brother Syddraf
My idea is to have the assault cannons mounted as a pivoting current at the bottom. This is one option and the other push the cannons back to sit over the fly base stand hole.
