Hi everyone. I'm building an Imperialis Militia force to represent the Skitarii regiments of Ryza (cyber augmetics, warrior elite provenances and grenadiers as troops). They'll be allies to my Ryza Mechanicum. I'm thinking of converting some 40k Kastelan robot kits into manned mecha-type walkers, to count as scout sentinels.

I'm wondering if people think these are an OK size for a sentinel stand-in? With a tank commander type model piloting where the bot's head is. In my mind's eye the two seem roughly the same height, the Kastelan is not quite as bulky up top but bulkier in the legs. I reckon they'd be fine, but my mind's eye might be wrong! Any opinions appreciated.

Well, I don't want to use the Sydonians for a couple of reasons. Firstly, aren't they super tall? I'm pretty sure the Kastelans are closer to a Sentinel's size than they are.

Secondly, and more importantly, they are very expensive and I am a frugal gamer :happy.:

This is true

I think I’d have a hard time thinking of Kastellan robots as Sentinels when there are so many robots in 30k. And Sentinels cost less, at least here. The Sydonian Dragoon is the way to go if you can afford it, but if not just try to add some leftover Mechanicum/AdMech bits onto those Sentinels.
