As crazy as it seems, I decided to take BT army to LGT. I plan to use BT detachment (or two) as a core and splash it with non-BT detachment which should address our weak points.

 

I'm into including Celestine, Greyfax and Culexus in that detachment, so that's two HQ and one Elite choice running under the faction tag "Imperium". That effectively means the detachment should be either Supreme Command (+1 HQ) or Vanguard (+2 Elite). The latter is less preferable since the second detachment of BT could be Vanguard as well and according to LGT rules one shouldn't include two detachments of the same kind.

 

What Imperium HQ or Elites would you add to that potential detachment?

I run a Vanguard with either Celestine or Tempestus Prime as HQ then

 

- Culexus

- Eversor

- scions command squad with 4 plasma guns.

 

Seems to go alright.

 

Of note: I read somewhere that some tournament organisers were banning Imperium and Chaos ‘soup detachments’. Might be worth checking if yours is doing that.

i would run Helbrecht with a few shooty-crusaders in rhinos. I think about to run that in  the TTM-Grand-Torunaments in Germnay.
