Just for book keeping? I know the falchions are the bees knees because they are free and give us an extra attack, but I'd pieced my knights out in a box before putting them together and got a mix of weapons that I found pleasing, but now I'm having second thoughts and am considering making all halberd squads and such.
It's easier on the rolls if you equip everything the same. It does give you a bit more flexibility on the table when you mix squads. Currently, weight of fire (or in this case, attacks) is generally the way to go, which is what makes Falchions this good. Mathematically, they simply do more wounds against anything I believe. I do love the look of halberds and the swords as well. So beefy and killy.

I'm kinda lucky. The guys i play with don't care about wysiwyg for wargear.

No one want to have to snip arms off every edition when loadout changes. Especially if you want to model on asthetics.

Got to have the mini. But if your roster says falchions, that unit uses falchions!

Halberds equal Falchions if you put them on Paladins.

Personally, for my 5-man TDA  models I have them set up as 1 Daemonhammer, 2 halberds, 2 sword & falchion combo. A nice blend of variety and aesthetics.

For my GK "swordsmen", they're equally as skilled in using swords or falchions and they're modelled as such. They have NF swords in their right hand while I equipped them with a single Falchion "mag-locked" horizontally across their back, in reach of their left hand should they have the need for it. The model actually looks better than if they just had a NFS or twin falchions so I'm really happy with how they turned out.

They remind me of Custodian models that have their main melee weapon plus a Misericordia sheathed to the side (for use with their off-hand for that extra attack).

One Stave on paladins/terminators can sometimes save you some points. Gives a 4++ in CQC which you can bump to a 3++ with sanctuary. Bit of a sacrificial lamb, but fighting the right thing it can soak a few big hits.

Theyre honestly pretty good for character hunting, you'll rarely benefit from more then -1 AP on characters, and it helps you wound on 3s.

I stick to falchions mostly, halbreds on paladins, hammers on sgts.

I’m stopping use hammers on justicars. Until now they never made the difference. Hitting at 4+ means (for me) never hit more than once and sometime I never hit (yes it is below average), but since I never sent them against vehicles now I want to try falchions on all my pagks.

Falchions on PAGK, rules-wise. I am actually building the full falchion squads (just gotta actually paint them fully now).

Hammers on anything with WS2+ to start, as 3's to hit is fairly reliable. I'm definitely shelling out for nemesis greathammers on my GMDK's from now on. I'm sick of rolling 1-2 damage on nemesis greatswords :(
