Any input on that. I am looking at their stat on paper and I can't decide which one would be better to go with a squad of purifiers.

Crowe has the purifying flame and rerolls on everything, +1A and +1W compare to the champ. But his Sword with no AP and 1 damage is kinda lame.

The champ has +1 to wound roll if you choose so and its sword has ap-3 and D3 damage. And he cost less.

What are your though on that? Anybody has ran the number to see which one is better?

I would like Crowe is better against infantry and the Champ against elite or character, but then again, D6 mortal wound on a character can hurt a lot.

You can almost discount Crowe's attacks, you get a fair number but no Str boost + no AP doesn't equal many dead enemies.

Bro champ has the good AP, and his blade stances can help improve his "str" or his survivability. He's also able to take some relics. For the cost of Crowe you could have a whole nother strike squad, which vastly outperforms him!

BUT if you really want that extra d6 I'd say grab the Ancient and Relic Banner, gives you a 6" d6 smite and a little buff to your Purifiers, which you can leverage into a nasty Purge Soul when you're out of range. Throw a Brocap in there to expand the range of those.

BUT, if we're just talking about Brochamp vs Crowe. Go with Brochamp. Crowe sadly lacks a point

Never ever touch Crowe.

Take a Bro champ for 2 reasons.

1. Cheapest HQ choice we have.

2. Troll players when he dies with heroic sacrifice and only in death to give him two extra fight phases when he dies.

Oh man forgot all about Heroic Death combo! With Hammerhand and Sword Strike he punches waaay above his weight class. Let's him kamikaze run like a boss, wounding even Knights on a 4+ with 12 attacks if he fights first.
