Master Avoghai
Hi there I’ve just purchased a thunderhawk and before mounting it, I would like to know how to mount it on a flying base. Indeed, I guess that I’ll have to buy a strong plastic support and drill a hole large enought to fix it inside. But : Where could I find this plastic stem? What kind of flat base should I use? How to fix the stem on the base? Thanks in advance Edited February 27, 2018 by Master Avoghai Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344814-mounting-a-thunderhawk-on-a-flying-base-how-to/ Share on other sites
Brother-serpent Tylydox
1. Don't do it. 2. You will need to get the custom heavy duty support for you model and also to modify the Thunderhawk bottom part to strengthen it. For reference see this: http://taleofpainters.blogspot.ca/2012/10/tutorial-making-thunderhawk-flying-stand.html Project overview: http://taleofpainters.blogspot.ca/2012/10/thunderhawk-project-overview.html Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344814-mounting-a-thunderhawk-on-a-flying-base-how-to/#findComment-5020964 Share on other sites
Master Avoghai
Yeah I've seen this tutorial but it's for the old model of THG. I don't know if the new one is balanced the same way and if I have to drill/ reinforce the hull at the same place Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344814-mounting-a-thunderhawk-on-a-flying-base-how-to/#findComment-5021172 Share on other sites
