Weaselfish
I run a catachan battalion, with an inquisitorial detatchmant. Since the onesies rule allows for then to take any allied transport, would they then be able to take a tallarn chimera?
NatBrannigan
A Chimera yes, but not a Tallarn one. If you include the Inquisitor in the Tallarn detachment you'd lose the Regiment bonuses. If you include it in a separate detachment the same issue applies. Stick 'em in a Taurox Prime
Weaselfish
Was actually gonna stick a catachan unit in there with Eisenhorn and a priest, then run stracken 2 more units next to it (blobbing together for meatshield). Really just wanted a sneaky way to let the gryphone 3 heavy bolters yo not get the -1 to hit. Roughly 30 str 4 guardsman with 3 attacks (3 axe sergeants with 4 each), company commander with fist, priest, stracken, Eisenhorn, and his daemonhost for less than the cost of a super heavy makes for 1 hell of a distraction carnifex. And one I get a charge off, it's actually been pretty effective.
duz_
I dont have my index handy but I thought authority of the Inquisition allowed to embark in any imperium transport?
Mileposter
The ruling does allow an Inquisitor to embark on a Tallarn Chimera. The Inquisitor does not need to be a part of the Tallarn detachment to do so, even when starting the game embarked.
