2.5K Wolves Orbital Assault

I've been playing with a "starter" Heresy list for ages now and am finally getting round to picking up the more elusive parts of my build so am looking at actually putting a list to table. Previously I've tried with 2K but it just doesn't seem practical enough given my Praetor and Command Squad is over a quarter of that build (Obviously I could put him with some Vets and save a load of points but who knows?)

Plan is to put the Speaker of the Dead with the Seekers for FNP and Preferred Enemy to a greater number of enemies. Master of Signal will be put with the Machine Killer Vet Squad to increase their BS and hopefully slag a target on arrival (I'm thinking these are one trick pony so maybe a Tac Support Squad with Melta instead with the MoS). The Recon Squad is an oddity I'll admit, my plan with them is to ideally have them Infiltrate (RAW they don't have to Deep Strike with OA just have the ability) if my opponent is a nice guy who appreciates the fact that it's thematic to have forward elements deployed (FW, please fix this with an Errata, Infiltrators in OA is fluffy and I doubt game killing). Originally I had a Vigilator in place of the MoS with the Recon Squad but felt that a MoS was more useful to the list in general as cool as a Vigilator is

 

Gives me 9 pods so 5 on first turn and ideally one of those pods is empty. Obviously depending on my opponent's deployment and forces I can determine who to deploy to start with.

 

Happy to take on any critique, I've not played since early 5th Ed so properly out of the loop with gaming. I'm still concerned over a fifth of my points are tied up in the Command Squad unit as that will hurt when lost.
