Brother Crimson
They are great enough to be used as firebase without transporting anything. Just remember to bring more that one aka rule of three: one will die one will miss the third one will do the job. As for loadout: lascannons and hurricane bolters complement each other very well. Panzer
It might be bit too expensive for rule of three but you should definitely have one or two more of equal threats on the board so your opponent has to pick between Stormraven and the others with his anti-tank stuff. ^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344943-how-to-get-the-most-out-of-a-stormraven/page/2/#findComment-5028524 Share on other sites
Calistarius
@Diagramdude I’d totally run a Fire Raptor. If I had the hobby funds to purchase one. I can get a Stormraven for half the cost currently. I mean sure, I could save my pennies and get one. It just hasn’t been high on my priority list until the CA reductions. I too think Stormravens are too costly to abide by the rule of three. Having two though helps mitigate the one will die and one will miss to some degree considering the amount of weapons they carry. Like Panzer said, just make sure you have around 4 targets of equal threat on the board by turn 1. Something nasty will survive!
