Help needed figuring out how to field corsair skyreavers

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out what the best way will be to field my 7th ed corsairs in 8th. Most of my units can either be used as craftworld eldar (or counts as), so that is the base of the army. My big issue is fitting in the skyreavers. What I have so far is the following list for 1500 pts:

Craftworld Eldar (Saim-hann) Outrider Detachment

HQ
Farseer skyrunner

Fast Attack

Hornet x1 (hornet pulse laser, CTM)
Wasp walkers x3 (Scatter laser/bright lance)
Shining spears x5 (exarch /w star lance)
Windriders x6 (scatter laser)
Windrider x3 (Shuriken cannon)
Windrider x3 (Shuriken cannon)

Craftworld Eldar (Saim-Hann) Supreme Command detachment

HQ
Warlock skyrunner x3

Then leftover to fit in I have:
Autarch skyrunner x1
Skyreavers x5 (Shuriken catapault x4, fusion gun x1)
Skyreavers x5 (Shuriken catapault x4, fusion gun x1)

So far in games I've been taking an extra patrol detachment with the above units, but it seems really inefficient. Is there any better way I can implement them? I don't really want to go Ynnari, mainly because I don't want to be shackled to taking one of the triumvirate. Am I right in thinking if I slotted the skyreavers into a Craftworlds detachment that detachment would lose all Craftworld benefits?

Thanks for any help!

I imagine the Skyreavers don't have the <Craftworld> tag, so that would mean you would lose your Craftworld trait other units in that detachment.

I forget how small the Skyreavers can squad, but you may want to look at an Outrider with three squads of them and a HQ that doesn't really benefit from the Craftworld trait.  The HQ will still have all of the required tags for targeting, spells, transports, and stratagems, but will not receive the trait.

That's about the only way you won't impair your army while gaining some sort of list-building benefit for the Corsair units.

I believe a Patrol requires a troop.

You could also squad them into 1 big blob and pay 1 CP to bring them in an Auxiliary Support Detachment without any other sort of restrictions or tax (1 CP is a heck of a tax, though).

Corsair units work well in Ynnari detachments, since there's no rule to lose.

You could add some shining spears, reavers, or scourges to flesh out an outrider.

I was going to suggest that. I think that would be the most efficient way to go.
