Marshal Rohr
Ah yes, a contest of legendary lords vying for control of stockpiles of stone that has an effect on warp energy. Total Warhammer 2 was such a good game :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345228-blackstone/page/3/#findComment-5039546 Share on other sites

Tyriks
I've found these types of videos to not be good sources because they make claims they never back up. There might be a source that says this, they might be misinterpreting or adding to something or it could be completely made up. klisof
Watching this the other day, what's the source of the info about Abbaddon trying to use Blackstone to cut off Terra? This is a reference to Watchers of the Throne:the Emperors Legion by Chris Wraight, this seems to have been foreshadowing the Blackstone fluff. In the climax at the end of the book - i.e. this is a major spoiler if you have not read it so you might want to stop now ........ A joint force of Custodes and Sisters of Silence assault a Chaos ship that has been modified to fire a gigantic shard of black stone at a planet. This is identified as the remains of one of the pylons from Cadia that had been modified by Abaddon's forces and was described by one of the characters in the book like this "It was a null. A Blank. A sink and a dissipater of psychic force". Abaddon was using these to try and seal off all the major stable warp routes into the Terran system to trap Guilliman there and either stop or delay Guilliman launching his crusade to stabilise the Imperium after the opening of the great rift. At the time it just looks like Abaddon finding ways to weaponise the remains of Cadia, now we know it ties into the Blackstone fluff and shows it can shut down the warp.
