Doom Herald
Is Treason of Tzeentch worth taking? Does anyone have any success stories? I am thinking about using a Daemons Dettachment with this power alongside Night Lords for the Ld penalties. Treason of Tzeentch only affects characters (normally high leadership) but can not affect a warlord (probably the most desirable candidate) it's warpcharge is relatively high and even if you get it you still have to roll against the targets leadership for it to be a success. I thought about maybe using it on commissars and other morale buffers, but you lose control before the morale phase, so there is no real point. Having not tried it, it seems like all the restrictions are not worth the benefit. Am I wrong? Panzer
I think it's one of those powers that usually isn't that usefull but when you can pull off something usefull with it it's hilarious. ^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345262-treason-of-tzeentch/#findComment-5032004 Share on other sites

The fun part is when that Commissar charges a blob of conscripts, kills maybe one or two and then the rest are forced to gang up on him, killing him and losing the morale boost when you attack Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345262-treason-of-tzeentch/#findComment-5032011 Share on other sites
Doom Herald
Are they forced to attack? They can't choose not to? I don't have the rules on hand presently. Quixus
Yup. Every unit in combat is activated at one point or the other. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345262-treason-of-tzeentch/#findComment-5032022 Share on other sites
Doom Herald
Yup. Every unit in combat is activated at one point or the other. Gotcha. That, combined with the warlord trait for +1 on psychic test rolls and the Night Lord Ld penalties might make it decent. I guess I can always hope they have plasma pistols too.
