Aothaine
Found this imagine of a Imperial Knights legs and the author of the article below explains how he painted it. No Airbrushing and it looks fantastic. I just wanted to share this. http://taleofpainters.blogspot.com/2017/03/wip-legio-custodes-imperial-knight.html Gold: Thx guys! So first: I don't use airbrush. For all the gold I used Retributor Gold washed with Reikland Fleshshade. Then I used the drybrush technique to restore Retributor Gold, then using Liberator Gold and a little bit Ironbreaker. For the deep shadows I applied Druchii Violet. Now the difference in gold / "copper" depends on the amount of Liberator Gold and Ironbreaker I applied on the different areas of the armor plates. So actually I used no other colors for this effect. Dark Metal: Hi thx! The dark metal was done by drybrushing Leadbelcher washed with Agrax Earthshade, then drybrushed with a littlebit Runefang Steel Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345493-painting-gold/ Share on other sites
