Our Codex has been announced and I am hyped. They've probably been ready to release for a while now, with production of the rule books either starting soon or started a few weeks ago, nothing we say in this thread will really matter but I am curious about what people will expect to see. 

 

What Strategems do you think we will see aside from the typical Space Marine ones?

 

I would like to see things like 

 

"Purgatus Doctrine - Choose a DEATHWATCH unit that has not shot this turn. It can now target enemy characters even if they are not the closest model." 

 

"Furor Doctrine - Choose a DEATHWATCH unit. This unit now rerolls failed to wound rolls when targeting infantry models. Additionally any attacks with a random shot volume use the maximum amount when targeting infantry units"

 

"Malleus Doctrine - Choose a DEATHWATCH unit. This unit now rerolls failed to wound rolls when targeting enemy vehicles and Monstrous Creatures. Additionally any attacks with a random shot volume use the maximum amount when targeting vehicle or monstrous creatures."

 

"Orbital Insertion - During Deployment, nominate a DEATHWATCH unit. This unit is set up in deepstrike reserve, even if it would not normally be able to deepstrike."

 

"Rapid redeployment - After the end of deployment but before the first turn, choose a DEATHWATCH unit. This unit can be redeployed anywhere within your deployment zone. The first turn then takes place."

Sorry man but based on the hype (and lack of) from the codex release thread, you may not get too many ppl jumping on this thread. A lot of us are at the point where we just want to see the codex instead of guess what things might be.

 

I do hope we get some good fluffly ones, as well as a few regular space marine ones. Some sort of deep strike would be required (otherwise a huge disappointment). I like the way you're headed with the doctrines but I hope we get something army wide that close to any of those. Something really needs to separate us from other factions, regardless of space marines origins.

I'd like to see some Xenos faction specific ones that cripple what each respective faction likes to do best. We are the Xenos killing experts aren't we?

 

-Haryls - All invulv saves are -1

 

-Tau - Marker Lights are -1 to hit

 

-Necrons - All "get back up" rolls are at -1 

 

-Orks - All charge rolls are -3in

 

-Nids - Lower the range of synapse by a few inches?

 

-Eldar - Psychic tests are -3 to test results

 

-Dark Eldar - All move/advance rolls are -3in

Omg too perfect of an idea. That one for Nids... or we could cause additional hits on 5/6s to compensate for the mass numbers they have! Wish we could've put something like that on their facebook page a few months ago.
