ShadowCore67
Hello all, So I recently received my Custodes Caladius in the mail and have finished assembling it. Now my plan was to not glue it to the hovering stand and instead magnetize it to the hovering stand. However, when sitting on the stand, the vehicle is front heavy and the front of the two nacelles hit the ground. How should I go about balancing it? Semper Fortis
Depending on how nose heavy it is (often measured by how loud a thunk it makes when it hits), you might get away with hiding some weights in the tail. I've used fishing weights painted to blend in on a few items. But your best bet is to find the balance point and see if you can position your magnet there. Good luck and let us know how it works out. Soraf
I've managed to balance mine with a combination of methods. 1. Wire/pin the large circular "mount" to the larger base 2. Pin the peg to the base section, and also the underside slot of the caladius 3. Use araldite instead of super glue to bind the caladius to the base peg (support the caladius front end nacelles with something at the height you want overnight whilst the araldite cures) Edited March 26, 2018 by Soraf Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345557-balancing-the-caladius/#findComment-5040921 Share on other sites
