the emperor is scottish
Just a quick one today especially for anyone with experience with the goliath models.I think the new Goliath upgrade kit that was shown on the warhammer community website looks amazing.I would really love to purchase said weapons pack as a conversion opportunity for my CSM. However I'm not sinking money in just for them to potentially look bad or not fit at all. So does anyone know if the arms could possibly fit a primaris marine?ThanksEmp Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345677-goliath-arms/ Share on other sites
Major_Gilbear
As the Goliath arms are not released yet, I don't think anybody could possibly have the answer to this. However, this recent post may be of help - it shows the relative sizes of a recent Marine and a plastic Goliath. Given that the Primaris are a little bigger than the other Marines, it seems like such an arm swap may be reasonable. the emperor is scottish
Thanks for the reply. That comparison pic next to a standard marine has given me some hope. And just to be clear as I probably didn't word it right. What I ment was if anyone had the goliath gangsters that were out at the moment could possibly have given me a size comparison. Grotsmasha
I'd spend a couple of $, pick up a pair on eBay, and check it out. Cheers, Jono Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345677-goliath-arms/#findComment-5043225 Share on other sites
Combat_Vet
Sorry for the half complete mini, but its a WiP (aren't they all ) I could see the Goliath gangers being marines out of Armor. The arms shouldn't have much difficulty fitting into place. I have extra - if you'd like I can try to blue-tac some arms onto a Primaris body if it would help you. That will have to be later today though as I have class. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345677-goliath-arms/#findComment-5043481 Share on other sites
Ahistorian
The issue is - imo - the shoulders. The Goliath arms are cut in funny places to accomodate their musculature and will need greenstuffing to fit other minis. Bulky shoulderpads might do the trick too, of course ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345677-goliath-arms/#findComment-5047323 Share on other sites
Stoic Raptor
Ironically, back in the days of the original Necromunda, we used to do things in a similar way. When we needed to customize a plastic model with wargear it didn't have, we'd use a shoulder pad to cover the work, too. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345677-goliath-arms/#findComment-5049959 Share on other sites
