Recommended Posts

Humble Bundle has a new BL bundle up as of tonight. It includes a general mix of 40k, HH, WHFB and AoS stuff - and Kal Jerico's Omnibus. Some audio dramas, some shorts, some novels/series starters. In the $1 tier, you get Guy Haley's excellent Baneblade, Trollslayer, Nightbringer and Path of the Warrior, The Beast Arises's I Am Slaughter and Roboute Guilliman: Lord of Ultramar in the top tier at $15. There are also coupons included for the various 40k/WHFB games on PC.

Definitely worth a look, especially at those prices.

All ebooks appear to come in epub, mobi and pdf formats. Audio Dramas are available in MP3 and FLAC, which I believe is the only time these are available in lossless formats.

Thank you kindly for the heads-up :tu:

So, a modest tithe to the Orders Hospitaller and their noble cause of ministering to the Emperor's children nets me Baneblade, Ragnar Blackmane, a batch of Imperial Guard stories, 'Argent', Kal Jericho's omnibus, and the first novels of the Salamander and Beast Arises series, plus Trollslayer for nostalgia.

Expecting great things from Baneblade and Ragnar Blackmane, and have also heard good reviews re Kal Jericho. The Imperial Guard omnibus... I'm not a fan of Annandale's Astartes or Primarchs work, but maybe he's better with Yarrick; Brandon Campbell's Tau stories I liked so that bodes well for 'Broodlord', and the other authors I've never read. I'll give the Salamanders and BA series a chance now I've got the intro novels on the cheap :biggrin.:

Even avoiding the Age of Sigmar novels, which I've heard is a garbage setting, this was still a bargain!

Baneblade, along with Skarsnik, were the first things I've read from Guy Haley and both have been excellent.

The Astra Militarum anthology includes a bunch of good stuff, and Annandale's Chains of Golgotha was a great novella - I was really happy with it, and the following Yarrick books. Wish there'd been a third novel for the omnibus later this year, but oh well.

Toby Frost's Straken short was good, and Justin D Hill's got a way with Cadians. His stories ended up fairly long iirc. It's a good anthology overall.

I'd also encourage listening to Scions of Elysia. I'm really looking forward to the third installment this year. Dows uses a cool framing narrative that works very well in the format.
