From a modeling standpoint, it may be a little bit hilarious or fragile, but may look cool. I'm now tempted to try it when I get some bikes just for the amusement of it. At least mounting a standard on the bike somehow to represent a Shield Captain or something. Man I’ve got to start writing this down... Seriously though... if the bikes had them, you would almost never see any other unit take them. I personally think they’re vital. When facing shooting armies, I ball up into a Fist around the Vexilla and that gives me a better shot against Astra, AdMech, Necrons etc if a bike had them it would be yet another reason to not take anything else but bikes.
