Great models really well done very nice mix of blending different mk armor together.

One small point the shoulder pad with the bolts in it is a right shoulder pad not a left as that pad was used at the time to protect the marines dormant side against other marines bolters.

I don’t have any skulls or corpses to base with

If you can stomach the expense, buy some models from an enemy faction- maybe Astra Militarum guardsmen whose armor you defaced with Chaos symbols, so they may represent the Lost and the Damned- and put the UNASSEMBLED models on the base. Paint the unassembled models' joints the colors of spilled blood, torn flesh, and broken bones; if you have more time and money, carve open the models' bellies, and green stuff some spilled guts.

Naturally, the Carcharodons' close combat weapons should be especially bloodstained, to show they were used to inflict fatal injuries on the corpses decorating their bases.

I was thinking maybe a battlefield base with snow to make the dark armour pop.

Good idea.
I would suggest a warmer toned base since the grey armor is in the cooler side of the spectrum. A nice sand color, or khaki could look really good. Lightly shade the edges so it's a little brighter in the center to bring focus to the model.

The Reiver looks good in black. Will you paint all your Reivers in this color, to identify them as Scout equivalents? Or just that on Reiver, as a Chaplain in Mark X Phobos armor?

Actually its not black, theres something with the light that makes it look black

Some more progress, the little ones will be a part of a ten man squad of veterans with stormshields and chainblades/axes. They will accompany Tyberos in a land raider Crusader.

Guys, what you say. I only sparsely weared and teared them. Since dirt and Blood will be added i dont want to overdo it. Or should i?

I agree, less is more. If you wanted them to appear more battle-worn, I would advise more practical/physical damage (rents, bullet pock marks, chunks of armor chipped/removed).

They are scavengers after all!

As the stand now, they are gorgeous, but I can appreciate going further given the Sharks legacy.
