apologist
A few WIP pict-captures of da boyz from Luggub's Drop Legion; my affectionate update of the ork sample army of Battle for the Farm fame: Thrugg, Hruk and their drinking buddies disciplined squad leaders The models are converted to better match the Rogue-Trader era aesthetic – see if you can pick out specific models from the RT period :) – so a bit more punk-militaristic, a bit less bestial than modern orks. Major_Gilbear
I was thinking about your models last night actually, and I wondered if you'd had a look at some of the third party Ork bits? I ask as there's quite a few cool-looking heads and such that are more Blood Axe / RT in style, and it would give you even more variety. Otherwise, as I said in the other thread, these are looking ace! Well done. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/346192-luggubs-drop-legion/#findComment-5054651 Share on other sites
Brother Casman
I love the variety of skin tones you've got here! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/346192-luggubs-drop-legion/#findComment-5054729 Share on other sites
Smoke Frog
I love the variety of skin tones you've got here! I noticed the same thing, this is really neat! They really do look a whole lot more diverse than most ork armies out there. What different colors did you use to get the varied skin tones? apologist
Thanks chaps. Painting skin is a bit of a hobby-horse of mine, so if you’re in the mood for a discursive explanation (and a step by step example), you can read about painting ork skin on my blog. Krakendoomcool
I hadn’t even clocked that these guys have slightly different skin tones! That’s next level. Proper respect, as if Ork boys aren’t time consuming enough!
