Paland
Hello. I was not to happy with the Valdor model when it came out and thought it was way overdone. It looked lore like something from the Emperors Children. So I have try to tone it down a bit, with some new shoulder pads, new head of removing some of the parchment and other details. Any good ideas are welcome. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/346218-trying-to-tone-down-valdor/ Share on other sites
Ania Redfang
Looks great! What head is that? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/346218-trying-to-tone-down-valdor/#findComment-5055346 Share on other sites
Paland
Thanks. It's the head from Legio Custodes Sagittarum Guard, where I remove the spike from the top of it. Elzender
It's looking really nice, stil ornated but not overloaded! Have you glued everything, or is the head still separate? I'd be curious to see how the original head looks with the reduced bling! Paland
@elzender The head is glued on, but I'm sure that I can get if off and show you it with the normal head. Do you want to see it with the banana helmet on to? Do you want to see it with the banana helmet on to? Oh, no worries, I was just curious to see it since I'm ok with the original head but I agree that they overcluttered the miniature, but anyways it is not likely for me to get Valdor, at least in the foreseeable future. I wouldn't want you to risk damaging the model so don't bother. I do look forward to see it painted! Qkhitai
Looks great! I think a helmet plume would really bring it all together though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/346218-trying-to-tone-down-valdor/#findComment-5055518 Share on other sites
Ficinus
That looks amazing. This makes it incredibly tempting for me to buy Valdor and tone him down, knowing that there is such a beautiful model underneath all the excess. Paland
@Ficinus thanks. I wanted to show that with a few and easy changed that model can be tone down. And maybe to give other ideers and to take it fether. Paland
@Qkhitai Thank you. The helmet is my personal preference, but if you like. I don't mind to change it, so you can see how it looks ☺.
