Mordian regiment

The local guru has shown me how good Mordians can be. They have defensive fire at 5+ and a stratagem that allows them to  fire again a weapon if they roll a 6' in the shooting phase. When firing you can use this stratagem combined with first rank etc to roll a ton of dice and when defending you can use the grenadiers strat if the enemy is whithin 6'' to roll a curtain of fire. The tanks can fire defensive fire at 5+ if within 6'' of a friendly vehicle, buffed to 4+ with the stratagem. So à mon avis mordians are the defensive choice to go.

For offensive I'm trying tallarn with the ambush stratagem, infiltrating obsecs and punishers in the enemy backfield.

Good to see people getting use out of the various Regimental doctrines, if only that could extend to the models as well!

Shhh noigrim! The first rule of Mordian is we dont talk of Mordian ;)

 

Actually it also allows you to play offensively with close range tanks as being charged is less of a concern.

 

Their leadership buff is great to as well as their execution order ;)

 

But enough now too much discussion and the inquisition shall hear :P

Yay for Mordians! Probably the most underrated doctrine but still not the best. Won't catch me using anything else though! The tank overwatch is brutal.
