NiceGuyAdi
Just read an article on the BBC website about a load of historical sites that have been 3D scanned and put online in association with Google: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/technology-43797836/google-s-3d-scans-aim-to-preserve-historical-sites In itself it’s pretty cool, but as I was watching the thought occurred to me this could be an absolute goldmine for 3D printing scenery. Especially as it’s available for free for non-commercial use. I wonder how feasibly these scans might convert to 3D-printable models? Or how cost-effective that might be? PeteySödes
Seems like it could be cool! Like any tech like that though, its likely incredibly cost prohibitive ATM but will steadily get more feasible as time passes if its adopted.
