Gunnersberry
I want to put some phosphex discharge on some unit bases but I’m unsure what to aim for and where to start. Would it be a white/green/purple sort of flame or a liquid chemical that’s seeping into the ground? Modelling advice for both would be awesome! I’ve gotten okay with greenstuff but on the lookout for other techniques that could work well here. Thanks! Charlo
It's a white liquid hot flame that consumes any living matter it comes into contact with pretty much. It won't stop burning until it's eaten everything! Noserenda
Definitely go with flames, i recall it being described as having a fog/smoke too? When i was initially planning a phospex heavy army i was going to model a bunch of templates to stay in play. Swirling flames with PVA/Filler mix on the base then adding the fog with cotton wool probably. Bright purple as it was a distinct/high contrast colour to out usual desert/green/city bases/terrain. Gorgoff
Google says: "Phosphex is a rare, corrosive and toxic incendiary compound utterly inimical to life, originally deployed by the Imperial armed forces either in the form of large canister bombs or heavy shells. It expands on contact with air into a seething liquid mist which burns with an eerie white-green flame that is attracted to movement. This gelid flame ignites metal and eats relentlessly into living tissue, and cannot be extinguished short of exposure to vacuum. Gunnersberry
White green flame it is! Anyone with examples on models? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/346525-how-to-model-phosphex-discharge/#findComment-5063675 Share on other sites
Xenith
Best to put the phosphex on the base and model a steaming pile of goo along with it! Any model that close to phosphex would be dead. I think it will be hard to model without looking like plain old smoke, but good luck!
