Lucerne
Can someone share a good recipe for Elysians, preferably green armor, that uses Vallejo paints? GW washes or specific paints are fine but I'd rather use Vallejo by and large. sarabando
Vallejo russian green for the fatigues and Yellow olive for the armour. then id do the padded parts in a bone. brown wash the whole thing and then go back over it :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/346562-elysian-recipes-with-mostly-vallejo-paints/#findComment-5064657 Share on other sites

sarabando
Thanks- any pics of the result? What should I use for highlights? i dont have any pics of Elysians as i had mine soon after they were released and no longer have them but my valhallans are painted using russian green washed brown then russian green again as the first highlight and then a splash of screaming skull for a final highlight. i would recommend a solid colour for the fatigues over camo as they are very fine models and it will get lost, the armour is easier to add camo flair. Danny Cyanide
I wound up doing Green fatigues with tan armor for mine, but I did a test mini the other way around: I'm using a conversion chart to translate the citadel paints I used to Vallejo for you, but they should be pretty close: I base coated with Citadel Castellan green - Vallejo Game Color Cayman Green (067) - Vallejo Model Color Olive Gray (888) I followed this with a wash of Citadel Agrax Earthshade I brought everything except for the deepest recesses back up to Castellan Green I highlighted with Citadel Straken Green - There doesn't appear to be a Vallejo equivalent to this color I then did a 50/50 Straken Green/White highlight Vallejo Game Color Dead White (001) -Vallejo Model Color White (951) I finished with a 25/75 Straken Green/White Highlight So, only two of my colors translated to Vallejo for you, but that being said there is only one Citadel color as well! I hope this was helpful! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/346562-elysian-recipes-with-mostly-vallejo-paints/#findComment-5065427 Share on other sites
