Champion Honor Crest, looking for advice.

Hi there.

 

I was wondering if anyone maybe able to help me with my idea of my champions Honor Crest.

 

The other day I got thinking about my chapter and there Champions thinking about there appearance and how they could be distinguished.

 

Originally I was thinking that they could have a crest on there helmets such as the Ultramarine Sergeant from the UM upgrade kit for example:

 

 

As much as I really like the look I want to go with something a little more different. As my chapter's look are influenced/inspired by Knights that type of helmet the sergeant is wearing will be quite a popular choice among them as to why I'm looking for something a bit different. I did a search for "Knight helmet crests" and what I found was really neat and something I would really like to go for.

Here are a few:

 

 

I threw a quick concept piece together last night to get a general idea.

 

 

• Champion’s are distinguished by a heraldic wolf that is displayed on the top of their helmets.
• Below the ornament the cloth ring indicates the company he is from.  This one belonging to a 4th Company Champion.
• Each crest has black cloth that covers the back of the helmet that comes in various styles.

 

The closets I've found are the Brentonnian Knights. They look great but they don't have a wolf  (could try the green stuff to modify ?)and I'm unsure of the size comparison is to a space marine helmet. I could maybe find a head or two and try converting it and removing the helmet. I would hate to do that though as they are so nice looking and plus GW discontinued them (I am very late to the party).

 

I also tried looking at Space Wolves to see if they have any wolf ornaments or statues of some sort. The only thing that so far has  caught my eye was on Grimna's StormRider, the 2 gold wolves on the back which I tried to draw on my drawing.

 

 

Would anyone happen to have a size comparison ? They would work really well for what I'm looking for.

 

Other than what I've shared here the only other way I could think off would be using the green stuff.  I've never used it so I need to do my research for it.

 

I was wondering if anyone may have any tips or advice on how I could go about doing this maybe there might be some bitz that could work well.
