Inquisitor Shoulder Pads

Recommended Posts

Thinking of creating an inquisitor with space marine armor. Curious though has anybody come across flat shoulder pads. I seen some on pinterest where they are basically laid horizontal versus being laid vertically on the arm. Hector rex model is about the closest I can think of without going through the trouble of sublinking. I also thought of using stormcast shoulder pads but haven't seen anyone use them on space marines. Any suggestions would be helpful

Hi, I was using Scibor shoulderpads -> They're bigger than normal marines ones, but they're detailed, and looks awesome. Huge amount of skulls, and such.

Here are my custom Hector Rex model, where you can see them.

:)

Hm you could look into some of the 30k Betrayal at Calth box sets. Some of the HQs/Terminators have those horizontal sholder pads. I'm sure you can find a really cheap deal on ebay for one of these guys if you decide to go that route.

Decide to go with the

Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard Shoulder Pads Feathered 1 Random Bitz

and will turn them to side, and we will see how that goes.

Those are still actual Marine shoulder-pads though, not sure how putting them horizontally will look, without leaving a massive gap where the arm usually goes.

Looks like they curve so if I rotate it they would look like wings if you were facing a bird. Was thinking of some fantasy shoulder pads as well. After some reading though on something similar the arms underneath were filed down to have a better fit. I might do the same. The bits haven't shipped so I'm sure I can throw in some fantasy ones if I can find them.

I wonder if Imperial Guard shoulder pads would work? I’ve used the skull shoulder pad from the vehicle kits on inquisition stuff. I’m not near my collection right now so I can’t remember whether any of those models have Marine arms but I think it might work.

This would be so much easier if I could sculpt better.

As someone who uses Blood Angels, they're exactly Marine shoulder-pads, with sculpted details. They have the exact same curvature on the "inside", just some raised detail on the "top" that points out a bit. If you chop them up you could get some wings out of it, but it might be easier to get the wing helmet decorations from the Dark Angel kits. Just be aware that the Sanguinary Guard pads are still sculpted to fit snugly on standard Astartes arms.

Scion shoulderpads also fit will with standard Astartes bodies - I've used them on a couple of Inquisitors.

are you guys talking about this when you mention scion shoulder pads?

And I would switch em out, but the problem is i think that was the only straight out bolter arm I had and i cant get the shoulder pad off. any suggestions for that. (ended up super gluing the left shoulder pad onto that existing arm ) im open to suggestions.

No, I meant the solid Scion shoulders which fit both Astartes and Militarum arms.
