FW shipping and handling times.

Recommended Posts

It depends.

Most orders usually take a week or two to get to me up here in Canada.

But my Thunderhawk and Dorn order legit took 2 days after I got the "Its on the way!" Email.

Well, orders of over 250 pounds are sent for free with express delivery, considerably reducing the shipping time :happy.:. I've made a couple of big orders (not that it is difficult to spend over 250 pounds with FW prices) and they tend to come in under a week, whereas the normal orders I've made have taken 1-2 weeks, as Slips said. Then again, I'm from Spain so guess my examples are of no real use for you .

I'm about 2.5 hours west of you but about 5 1/2 hours away from you.  For orders with Express Delivery, my orders have arrived in about 2-3 weeks of placing the order.  It's usually closer to the 2 weeks.  I should find out soon about the standard orders that are less than the 250.

I've made a few orders that got the free express shipping and none of them have ever gotten to me quite as fast as that Hawk and Dorn order.

...Maybe I just got lucky that one time.

Slips, I'm in Canada too... did the duty hurt much? I pretty much stopped ordering from there because of it.

Last few orders have had no duty on them

Did they come from Canada Post or a courier? Previous experience is that anything under a certain weight normally arrived Canada Post and duty free, heavier stuff was normally courier and those had a painful duty slapped on.

I wasnt the one who was there when the packages arrived at the door but due to the free express shipping on the thunderhawk and Dorn, Im going with the assumption that it was FedEx/UPS that got it to my door and they havent told me I owed them money for a C.O.D yet.

It was probably canada post though.
