Help Picking Traitor Legion Colors

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! I just built a list using Khorne Daemons and Traitors but I'm having difficulties trying to find out what colors to paint my Chaos Bikers and Space Marine Daemon Prince. My two Princes from the Chaos Daemons codex I will be using the Khorne Daemon Prince from Forge World. And I plan on using the GW Daemon Prince for my Traitor Marines. Black always works and I was thinking about making them previously Black Templars. But I was wondering what other colors might work. Thanks in advance!

What about a maroon and purple scheme, with a little black, ivory and silver for contrast? This a nice colour scheme that will contrast well against the (presumably) red/scarlet Khorne daemons, and still ties in with them as they are still within the tonal range of colours associated with blood.

This could work. You don't think it will be too much red on the field though? I was looking for something a little different but still want it to tie into the red and look decent next to the Bloodletters and Daemons.

Your palette is pretty open. Assuming your bloodletters are the usual red colour, then you can tie into them with a complimentary colour, so warm colours are in; reds, yellows, and oranges. You also have Khornate colours; bronze and black; and World Eaters colours; white and blue. So really, you can go thematic with almost everything, though bright blue/purples or green may be questionable.

If you want to go black, maybe either go rational Khorne black and bronze so they cover all three colours next to the bloodletters? I'm also a sucker for purple, so maroon and purple as posted above would look nice. I've also yet to see too many nicely done orange marines, so orange and a complimentary colour could look nice next to red bloodletters. Just want to avoid orange and black for Halloween Syndrome.

Good luck finding a scheme you like.
