Guest
So I am moving much faster than I thought with my 21 Plague Marine list. I though I would do them and maybe one Lord and that would be my vows. So I wanted to move on with what to do with my list. Currently I have a Great Unclean One, LoC, and 21 PM's. I am obsessed with keeping this army very thematic. So big focus on 7, foot slogging, and resilience. Now I have also focused on 3, but I do not know if that is really thematic. Also I wanted to try and keep everything unique, 21 unique, never repeating, PM was already a feat so wanted to continue it. The exemption is vehicles as they are supposed to be similiar. I wanted to focus on Helbrutes and PBC's as they are the most resilient units I could think of. For 3 Helbrutes I was thinking Dark Vengeance, Normal, and using the Death Guard Dread from FW. Making them all unique. Meanwhile the 3 PBC would be pretty simple. However I am not sure this would be a decent army. I was told to drop the PBC, and get 3 drones and a hauler to escort the CC Helbrute and squad. Another said to get some terminators, but I have read anything good about termies this edition. So wanted to get an advice on what my next purchases should be, and soon as I need to order (it can take 3 weeks to get to me). I am open to any suggestions. PS: I need a name for my LoC. BlackTriton
PBC are hardcore tough unit that combo nicely with daemon and the Gnawmarl. Bloat drones, however, are more all around usefull thanks to fly. Both are good, but drones may be the best place to start. A winged DP is a must, its one of the best HQ chaos has access to. The Biologus is one of the best support you can get for plague marine, making the blight bombadment stratatagem very dangerous. The BlightSpawn as potentially one of the highest stat gun in the game, though it is a bit random. He is often underestimated, a mistake your oponent wont do twice. I would highly consider getting a rhino. They help compensate with our weakness (movement) and up our (already impressive) toughness. This should cover most of the "must have" in the codex. Guest
I hadn't thought about using a Gnarlmaw, would be nice to get cover on moving up the field. I just can't get around the idea of bloat drones, they seem to be the opposite of a DG force. However maybe it will distract my opponent long enough to move my squads up the field. I plan on making my wing DP a great unclean one. I just hate the DP models, wish they would get an update. I saw a couple 3rd party models that I almost went for though. I really just can't get behind the rhino, it just isn't thematic to me. It would be a huge asset but it just doesn't fit.
