FW missile launcher size relation: Deredeo vs. Hyperios

Recommended Posts

I have no picture, but the Deredeo is a bit bigger. Anyway, if you wanna use it on a Rhino chassis it should work very well too.

EDIT: No, i've said something wrong based on a picture I've seen once that actually was a photomontage. Here a true pic:

I knew that the FW Helios launcher was small but I had no idea it was that small in comparison. Mind you, that was a long time before the plastic Whirlwind was released. The Aiolos launcher looks surprisingly good on a Rhino chassis.

It's a FW kit that is still being sold, it can also be bought as part of a Tarantula Air Defence battery. As the Hyperios in 8th, it has the longest AA range at 72 inches, indirect fire, and is a heavy 2d3, as a Tarantula battery it's 48" D3 but I'd say costed appropriately. I meant to add the whirlwind and Hyperios launchers are scaled to fit into the large rhino hatches, the Helios is small hatch scale (front of rhinos, and top panels on LR) and the Aiolos launcher is it's own small evens smaller mount (about half of standard hatch size), but it looks like it kitbashes pretty well from the picture Ezr91ael posted. Too add to any considered options, Kromlech also makes some missile launcher turrets, and one that looks like an updated 40K scorpius launcher.

Yep, thank you all for helping!

No, I'm not gonna put it on a rhino. It is part of some planing for an SM “MadCat”/“Catapult” counts-as Deredeo on a Stormtalon basis.

Therefore I'll need a Hyperios launcher but I got confused whether the original Deredeo one would fit as well/better. It obviously won’t. :smile.:
