Rikev
Got my Codex and the biker entry says DW Bike Sergeant can take two items from the Deathwatch equipment list. Am I reading right you could have SB and Twin Bolter (from the bike) on the sergeant? Or even give him Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield? I really want to go with the Sternguard stormbolters for the Vets, though. They look the part at least. Unless maaaaybe I model him standing up on the saddle.... Attach a servo skull to the handlebars or run some cables from the armor to the bike. Marines can interface with regular vehicles so a deathwatch marine could probably make it work with a bike. Vel'Cona
I'm just being facetious, OFC. The idea for this is likely the individual fires his ranged weapon while closing in, then holsters it to draw his blades. It's not necessary to actually convert models carrying their weapons "to hand" as it were in either case, as is the long tradition for Bolt Pistols, Combat Knives and so on. MadEdric
I figure I have a couple storm bolters from dreads. No reason the storm bolter can't be attached to the bike and not hand held. Vel'Cona
Twin hand flamers. If I could find them. See, wrist-mounted hand flamers is just awesome because it's an indiscriminate weapon anyway, so aiming is not as crucial. And it would look super rad! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/347203-biker-sergeants/#findComment-5082978 Share on other sites
Rod.H
So, the answer to how to model storm bolter & powersword is to use a sentinel blade? Seems legit with the Watch Master having a guardian spear, a Blood Raven WM might also have some Dawneagle jetbikes handy. But yes, Gabriel does have a few in his garage...that he found...at..auction? *Ahem* Yes, at auction.
