DEL 707
Got a question about shading. Painting some Bad Moon amour and I have a point where the yellow meets gunmetal. Now I need to shade the yellow with Agrax Earthshade and the gunmetal with Nuln Oil. What's the best way to do this, just use 1 shade? If so, should I go for the lighter or darker colour? Bryan Blaire
Do you mean they meet across a flat plate, where it would be possible to paint one shade on one side, and another going across the other side? Or Do you mean they meet in the same recess? Bryan Blaire
I would use a light amount of your shade for your yellow and slowly flow that down the yellow into the recess, trying to get as little pooling as possible and let it thoroughly dry. Then do the same with your gunmetal shade. Go back and forth as needed to build up the depth you want for the shading. Claws and Effect
I'd just use the Agrax for the whole thing. It gives anything painted with Leadbelcher a grimy, almost rusty look. Which, to me at least, would work well for just about any Ork.
