Bikers Or Vanguard

I'll probably end up doing both but in a 2k game, think I would only have room for 1. Which do you think is more essential.

Watchmaster

Librarian

2 Razorbacks [ 1 Lascannon / 1 Heavy Bolters (Till I can Find Auto Cannon Bits) ]

3 Squads of Vets

- 1 Sarge w Xeno and Bolter / 2 Bolter Storm Shields / 2 Frags

- 1 Sarge w Chainsword & Stalker Bolter / 2 Stalkers w Stormshield / 1 Vanguard w Bolter & Chainsword / 1 Stalker with Chainsword / 1 Heavy Bolter

- 1 Sarge w Xenoblade and Bolter / 1 Black Shield with Lightning Claws / 3 Power Axes & Bolter [ Might Proxy Them To Be Stormbolters.

I Do Have A Watch Captain w Jumpack, Combi Plasma & Power Sword but i have not fit him in the list yet

Just my Battalion Detachment with AM Allies and A Inquisitor AUX Detachment for Fluff Purposes [ might turn it vanguard, but im still deciding on acolytes ]

So what do you think is more essential for this battalion detachment.

im at my point limit, I would have some space to fill up my AM detachment, with probably more crusaders or acolytes for the inquisitor if I go with bikers. Or I can go with vanguard and would have less points to go with, and would probably keep my inquisitor as an Auxillary. [ Battle Brothers threw my list off :( ]

Well, what do you need more?  A surprise drop VV squad to flank or distract the opponent, or a faster but less numerous bike squad primarily as a flanking/harassment unit?  Keep in mind that Bikes are definitely more durable on a model-by-model basis, but they lack ranged options beyond their TL Bolters (which is still a pretty darn good option now) and have extremely limited melee options (beyond the Watch Sergeant).

if you can only have one, take a 3man bike unit with a stormbolter/melee weapon on the sergeant, and chainswords on the other 2.  16 SIA bolter shots on a 14" move speed.

Alternatively, take a Kill team with 5 SB/CS vets, 1 vanguard vet, 4 bikes.  Combat Squad the bikes and vanguard vet off.  It'll move at least 12", have 16 SIA bolter shots, 16 chainsword attacks, and be able to fall back, shoot and charge.  Plus ObSec, 9 +3 armor T5 wounds to chew through.
