How to paint hi vis jackets

Recommended Posts

I have started up a blood bowl team called the Garda Rats (a Garda is a policeman in my country). I want to paint them up to look like the police force here. The cloth is going to be navy and the armour will be like hi vis jackets with a silver trim. Any advice how to achieve this colour with GW paints? My FLGS had no fluorescent paints.

Edit: There arent many famous Irish cops so I was either going to name my team after famous Irish criminals or TV cops. Any suggestions for player names.

Either a fluoro paint (Vallejo do some), or a pale lemon-yellow colour with a hint of green as Chaplain Dosjetka suggests would probably work well. Don't forget that with painting models Contrast Is King, so to really sell the effect you'll want the blue, white and black as well in order for the colour "read" as it's supposed to.

Unfortunately, as this is not 40k-related, I'm closing the thread. Nonetheless, I hope your project goes well, and don't forget that if you happen to use similar colours on 40k models that you would be most welcome to post them here.
