Claws and Effect
I said I was doing it and finally got him finished. It would be remiss of me not to share the results. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/347533-watch-captain-korvydae/ Share on other sites
Claws and Effect
Thanks to the tips I've absorbed here my painting is improving by leaps and bounds. I've found that I prefer a grittier look for my models. I feel like they have more character that way. I gave him a heavy thunder hammer in place of his original hammer that I accidentally broke when I was working on it. I'm pleased with how it turned out. He looks much more aggressive with the hammer held like that. In case you're curious, my skin tone recipe is as follows: Base of Ulthuan Grey Wash of Drakenhof Nightshade Drybrush of Pallid Wych Flesh I like how it looks and it would take less than 5 minutes if I didn't have to wait for layers to dry. Lucerne
Consider this: drybrush metallic silver along the edges, wash nuln all over, drybrush again along the edges. Bjorn Firewalker
He looks great! Considering his appearance, may I suggest he address the enemy in the following manner, before commencing battle? "We are the Deathwatch. Your war is already lost; your warriors are already dead. We will eliminate your biological and technological distinctiveness to preserve our own. "Resistance is futile."
