Colors of the Powers

Recommended Posts

Heres some of my models. I've recently added some small clumps of static grass to the bases, as well as some watered down chestnut ink to give them a tad more colour, so they look a bit bland right now. If i wasn't in such a hurry, i'd go get some updated ones, but this will do to give you an idea.

Hope ya like!

"LordGates", we all love pics. Even models that aren't done too well. Get yourself an account here Photo Bucket it's free. There are other free photo hosts, but this is the one most of us use. If you have trouble setting it up just PM a Mod or even me, (I'm certainly no expert, but I can give you the basics).

As for your pic "SynapsyS" I think they look great so far and look forward to seeing the finished models.

Here's some more of my World Eaters. I've brushed up on my camera skills, so now you can actually SEE what I have taken photos of

Lord Archeion (Ark-eye-on):

Astalith (Ass-tah-lith), Bloodthirster of Khorne:

http://img8.photobucket.com/albums/v23/cheex/Khorne%20Stuff/Army%20Diary/btfrontflash.jpg

Note: Asty is having his left arm and lash re-pinned. Cursed things kept falling off, the previous pins must've been too thin...

Champion Gormeth (Gore-meth):

Champion Kegan (Key-gaen)

Defiler "Hammer of Khorne"

The Red Tide (the painted portion, anyway):

The infamous Beastletter:

Note: I intend on stripping the Beastletters and sculpt some armour and get some better weapons for them. Will do the same for any future Beastletters.

That's alot of pics

Edit: added some better pics. Had to remove the WIP pic, though.

I've also posted these pictures in the painting, converting and artwork forum.

I haven't decided what to do with the base yet.

I've started this thing after I red Kenshin's article in White Dwarf.

Well it certainly looks putrid. Rather like a bloated limb that should have been amputated a week ago. :D

I do think it needs a little more consistant coloring though. While the effect is truely life-like, it does take away from the shape of the mini, and makes it look rather out of scale and formless. (Looks more reality scale and rather like a growth that needs to be removed and not like a model or even a Greater Daemon in the 28 herioc scale, like it is.) Tone it down a bit and color the finger and toe nails differently as well as picking out consistant details to paint all the same, (the maggot and tube-like organs should all be painted the same if you keep this riot of color).

Anyway it's certainly a disturbing looking figurine, (as it should be) and gets my vote for an awesome start to what is sure to be an incedible finished model.

Wow! Lots of great paint jobs and ideas here! I love the Tron style paint job.

I just got back from Iraq and haven't been able to troll the boards much, or paint at all, but I am eager to get back into the game and begin my EC army!

Does anyone remember when Slaanesh colors were pink and green?

Thanks for posting some great pics, I hope to have something up for you soon, as well.

beastletters are pretty cool. i've added a few bloodletter axes (adds to cost and therefore slightly defeats the idea of cheap bloodletters :D ) here and there, and removed a lot of the hair and ponytails as they didn't look very demonic

i really like that lord of yours (what's he made of?) and Kegan (very berzerker). the daemon prince you have unpaitned on your photobucket is pretty neat as well

The Lord uses berzerker running legs, Raptor Champion torso and head, Marauder arms (repositioned slightly, added a bolt pistol to one hand rather than a CCW), Grimgor Ironhide's axe (the Black Orc Champion guy from WHFB), a new CSM backpack and a GS tabard, as well as filling gaps. It was literally my first attempt at using GS, and one of my best attempts at blending. There are better pics of him in my photobucket account.

Thanks for the kind words :D
