Hope that works, its my first post, and my first marines painted in purple =)

Havent decided on how I want the bases yet, probably the normal brown with static grass...

Very nice marines.

The choice of colors really stands out.

Hi guys I am a new at this Khorne thing

Nice Figs everyones got, wish I had figs like that too.... (specially the dread):( ;)

I spent too much time painting but only played three games all loses. :P

I got Iron warriors of Khorne, and they look ^_^ ..... ;)

Hi everybody (my avatar a loyalist 'cause i just finished to collect my army) i was waiting for this i can now show to everybody my work here it is !!!!!!!! :D My Webpage

oo i forgot there's my wraith lord on my photos but my army o popa nurgle is following ;)

Some very impressive work here - my hat is off to you all.

But a basic question from a newbie here! What colour do you basecoat / undercoat? I have (in my limited experience!) used black, but had some problems in making the lighter colours (esp. white) show up well? (I have this nagging feeling that there is a blindingly obvious answer here) I have been tempted to undercoat in white for my new Thousand Sons army (a choice you can all take some credit for :cuss ), but is this a good move?

Thanks in advance for any hints, as well as for the excellent examples here which give me something to aim at!

Hmm, i tried undercoating white but i hate having to fill in ALL the gaps for shading, so I stuck with-

black undercoat

paint bits to be blue a shade of grey

then lay on 1-2 coats of blue

golden/silver bits still left black, best undercoat for metallic paints.

My sons are coming out ok, no pics as yet.

Using white will make the blue come out more bright.

Personally i like a very dark sceme and therefor use black, and a layer of inkt to get a very dark blue colour.

Though the white paint from GW is quite good, and two layers often do the trick of covering an area.

This in turn will help the yellow colour, which is ver difficult to get good on a dark colour.

finally got some pics of my stuff so here we go!

Big Demon Prince

Mini Demon Prince

Aspiring champ

Random Grunt

An Entire Squad

Old, still to be repainted 'zerkers beating some DH's

I hope to have more stuff up soon, but for now, enjoy!!

Edit: Sorry about the shinyness on some of the models, these are gaming pieces and as such the shine isn't much of a problem it's only when ti comes to pictures that it presents itself as such.

Hi first post here - hope you like my DG

23 marines + lord - rest of the army (5 marines 7 posessed and 2 dreads will be ready for pic taking in a couple of days).

The models have not been varnished and I would say are at 95% still need a little highlighting here and there and some touch ups.

glad you like them - The armour is painted using camo green worked up to rotting flesh. Before the final highlight i give the entire model a VERY watered down black ink wash. Then i highlight with rotting flesh and finally add red and brown ink waskes were appropriate
