Round 1: vs Imperial Guard/Raven Guard. Loss 16-24. I destroyed a lot and Morty lasted till the the last round, but his secondary missions easily won him the game. I lost Morty, Poxwalkers, Deathshroud, and Blightspawn. I killed his Terminators, bullgryns, 2 scouts squads, 2 Guard squads, 4 characters, and a valkyries.

Round 2: vs Imperial Guard/Custodes. Loss 10-26. I clearly do not understand these missions.

Round 3: vs DEldar. Win 30-6.

Round 4: vs DEldar. Win 33-6.

Round 5: vs Custodes + knight. Loss 6-33. High lights of this game was my CC squad destroying the knight in turn 2 and Blightspawn spraying his warlord when he charged. Those bike squads are something else, hitting on 2's, saving on 2's, so many wounds, & can fall back-shoot.

Round 6: vs Space Puppies/Custodes. Draw 16-16. This was by far the most fun game of the weekend. I took out his Stormwolf turn 1 with my plague bomb after he unloaded into Morty and the Deathshroud not only intercepted every hit, they saved everything. Next turn I killed his Warlord Bike Captian with said plague bomb, he transferred his Warlord to another Bike Captain. I then charge him and killed him with that same unit. He got most of his points through obj holding and I got all mine from killing and leaving my deployment zone.

Morty lasted longer then expected and did a lots of damage. I would get in their face turn 1, Smite, then, Nurgle Rot, Silence a back unit (usually get 2 or 3 other units between us), after my charge hit them with Morty's MW's, then kill what ever I had charged. Then he would take hella damage and do it again (-Nurgle Rot), but would some more MW's when he exploded.

So if I remove his mark and legion trait, could I then take Warptime?

I just talked to the TO and by moving my Sorcerer to the Vanguard Detachment with no mark I am allowed to take Warptime. My Vanguard Detachment won't get the Death Guard bonuses, but they don't really need them.

Win or lose (well mostly losing), I did have a great tournament, I really liked facing lists/armies that I don't at my regular place. My 3 losses came to players that knew anything and everything about the game and tournaments. I'm not saying I wouldn't play them again, but if that's how they played outside a tournament, I probably would pass. When I had moments to, I would walk the floor and watch other games. There's a lot of players who are out for blood and don't give an inch (literally and figuratively). It looked like they were not enjoying themselves at all and 1 guy (an adult) was actually close to tears and had to step away for a minute.

I would say the biggest turn off though, was all the paperwork involved. Pregame filling out the sheets and missions, tracking so many objectives & missions between each and every phase & round, and then the post game paperwork. Some had to be chosen before a players turn in a round, but both players scored at the start of the next round, this really gave an advantage to whom ever went second.

First place Tau, second 1Ksons, third Necron, fourth Tryanids, and fifth went to DEldar. Nurgle Daemons highest was 21 and Death Guards was 23.
