Ven Dread weapon loadout

hi guys, what's your take on venerable dreadnoughts weapon options?

 

twin lass & missile launcher ? 

CCW & assault canon?

 

Thoughts?

I've ran twin laz and fist/storm bolter. It's shooting has been solid and the threat of cc smackdown has deterred cc units from pushing in quite as quickly.

The other dread option I've considered is a regular dread with twin laz and missile launcher. It's cheapest, and gives a ranged antitank threat that we lack.

I have two vendreads with TLLC and missile launcher in my backyard ususally.

 

It is 165 points each....not degrading, hitting on 2s, fnp

 

In some ruins you could also get cover, so the armour save is on 2+

You've motivated me to finally paint up my forgeworld Black Templar ven dread to add to my Last Wall protocol counts as Deathwatch army to give that a try

Most times I run the LC and ML variant for a backfield anti tank unit that we need. If you wanna have some fun, you can deep strike a CC variant for 1CP. In that case I'll usually run the PFist with the Assault Cannon.
