The Questor Imperialis Bandwagon Thread

Currently own all 7 foregworld variants. 4 paladins, 4 errants, 3 gallant, 3 wardens, 3 crusaders. Those 24 are painted in a custom mechanics house theme. Have 2 amigers In the same.

Have 2 knights I built as double weapon. 1 double avenger, 1 double RFBC.

Plan on Saturday is to get codex. Accessories, 2 of the big boys and a box of helverins.

Anyone taking bets if you can buy one big large knight and run it as either valiant or castellan with some clever magnetising?

I mean, from the photos the difference is only in the weapons, and we know both variants are in the kit... I'd be utterly shocked if you couldn't do exactly that.

Just a Paladin, here.  I prefer to "splash" Knights rather than run them as the whole list, though I do have a pair of the current Armigers and another IK on sprue to work on, whenever my heretical leanings start winding down :P

Wow, that is a lot of knights!  Well done for assembling and painting that many!

Any chance people can provide pics of their knights?  We've seen a few on the thread, but I really enjoy seeing what color schemes people use etc.

Sounds like a titan hunting platoon. How much even is that in points? :o

And I second the opinion for a merry group picture. Always fun to see what others do with their kits

A Lancer, Warden, and Errant make ups the Brother’s Resplendant, a trio of brothers from House Krast who all went Freeblade together. Also, two Warglaives as Knights-in-Training. Currently assisting a Stygies VIII Reclamation/Explorator Fleet

Planning to pick up the Codex, two Helverins, maybe the Renegade box, and a Castallen at Warhammer Weekend in Texas. Castallen will be the Harbringer, another Freeblade currently fulfilling a debt to the Titan Legio Honorum. Helverins will be more trainees for the Brothers, dunno what I’ll do with the Knights from Renegade if I get it.

Nice ideas!  You could always make the knights from the Renegade box more Freeblades and have a Freeblade "guild", where they share resources etc to achieve their goals.  That way you could have a "knight" house if you wanted to use the rules with your collection of Freeblades.

House Malinax, but loyalists who were lost off fighting remnants of the Rangdan in the Ghoul Stars and return in 40k finding that their planet is traitors. They operate as a tenuous house autonomous from the Imperium but will ally themselves with any forge world for the right price.

I discovered something interesting today that you might enjoy Charlo.

You know those hieroglyphs that you see on Malinax Knights? Apparently, they are 'Chthonic script'... That's intriguing as I can only assume by Chthonic they're referring to the language of Chthonia - Home world of Horus, and the Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus.

Knowing that House Malinax were moved from their original homeworld and assigned to Xana II, does that mean that Cthonia is a homeworld candidate? Or that just that they really liked hanging out with Horus and his boys and daub their language over everything? You certainly don't seem to encounter it with any other Traitor entity that I've seen, so it raises some really interesting fluff questions. O.o

! That's very cool.

But if so why would they be moved from Cthonia? Good will gesture towards Xana for Rangda? Only Forge World willing to accept them?

Interesting.

Not a clue buddy! It opens up some really interesting theory-crafting and head canon though doesn't it?

Here’s hoping ☺️

You're a madman, an absolute madman.

My Knight Paladin, Nii. Armed with the mighty Reaper Chainsword, Herring.

Album.

I have the renegade box that I never finished building because I waited for magnets. Also 2 unbuilt Warglaives that is waiting for the Helverins to be released before I touch.

I'm still developing the fluff of my custom house. The gist is that it's a house attached to a mechanius unit that swore fealty to my wolf lord. It is a new house as the old vassals were killed in a gether field failure.

As for knights I have 5 built (1 Crusader, 1 Styrix, 1 modular, and 2 warglaives) and three (1 normal, 2 small) still under construction. Once the Knights release I'm getting one of the big ones, the character kit and the small kit with a maybe on the Renegade box for two more full sized knights. That will bring me to 11 at least.

Right now the Styrix, Crusader and one warglaive are attached to my wolves. Later I want to add two normal knights and an armigar to my wolves while the rest will go to the new house.

Well, I only have two assembled Armiger Warglaives, but definitely plan to get the Renegade box, codex, and likely some Helverins to start.  Perhaps more, depending on what other info we get!  I have tentatively come up with a name for a Mechanicus-aligned house - House Vulpes Celestis (Celestial Foxes).

Also posted on daka but does anyone know if forgeworld knights conform to detachments similar to regular knights.

Ie can you take a paladin warden and a styrix in a super heavy detachment for 3 points. I take it that’s all above board and tourney legal for 3 command points yes?

The "post your Knights!" thread  was actually a popular one back in the day.  May be time to start this one up again so as not to jam up this thread . . .
