But in Melee am I correct in assuming 1 arm is a dud. Ie you can’t hit with both weapons in the same round even if you use stratagems?

True but you get a cheap knight with WS 2+ and a bonus attack that is going to stomp most of the time anyways:P

Knights release and I'm out for the year is what I've been saying for a while.

AT is cool, but I don't see there being a playerbase where I am and it's hard enough getting time to play 40k.

And I'm not that fussed about Orks or Wolves so I'm done at that point really from reported releases

Well when you put it like that!

I got a knight when I first got back into the hobby last year, but then sold it as I didn't have anywhere to game.

Fast forward a year and now 2 of my friends are into the hobby, I picked up a few warglaives from the Forgebane set and here are mine:

I've already pre-ordered a valiant, I'm just trying to decide if I should get a castellen or 2 errant/paladin etc instead for a more rounded force?

I've got another 3 warglaives to build too...

Amazingly clean and awesome painting

I've got one Renegade box on the way to provide my first 2 big knights.  What are your thoughts on how long GW will have the Renegade box available?  I really wanted to pick up a Preceptor as a 3rd knight, but now that is supposedly delayed until possibly Christmas time (according to some rumors on another forum).  So, I will likely need a 3rd big knight and a 2nd Renegade box might be the most cost-efficient way to do that.  But worried about waiting if it is only going to be around for a short time.....

If you want to get knights on the cheap, the Renegade box is the way to go. Your paying for a Warden kit and the terrain and getting a paladin kit for free.

Yellow as well?! You beautiful madman :P

Those are professional standard easily. I would have believed those had been done by GW's 'eavy Metal team had I not known different. You should be really proud bud!

Oh stop it you haha, thank you!

Bit the bullet and ordered a copy of renegade and a pair of helverins to go with my current 4 cerastus types. Still tempted on the valiant/castellan but will wait a while.

As I only play shadow war and 30k a full knight list might be my first 40k army since last the last millenium.

With the preceptor delayed I've decided to go for a Castellan with some Helverins first, then split Renegade with a buddy in about a month. The Castellan doesn't look like our most competitive option but I don't think I've ever appreciated a model aesthetically as much as I do this one so I'm gonna snag it first.
