Delta.Skies
Built an inquisitor out of the Deathwatch Watch Master, but feel like thats the route everyone goes. Along with genestealer cult / scion bits. Kindof wanted to think outside the box a little bit and through a bit of research found something that intrigued me. Would this model be appropriate with a bit of kitbashin , etc as an Xeno Inquisitor im not sure how tall eldar stand, or if this guy is too thin, i just know with a lil bit of work (gs not really needed) i could maybe turn him into an inquisitor. Or this guy... specially with my inquisitor being a psyker, I would do slight work with gs on the iconography, replace the arms outside of the robe, with maybe scion parts, my give him some more militarized boots and of course a hooded head. Just not too sure. So what are your thoughts and ideas, im a bit stumped cause of the other ideas been popping into my head. And as much as i liked the DW Watchmaster Model, I just wanna switch it up a lil. All thoughts and opinions would gladly be appreciated and thanks for taking the time out to read this madness. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/347950-attempting-to-create-a-new-xeno-inquisitor/ Share on other sites
Michaelum
Im afraid those would require a bit more work to pass as inquisitors. You should use human miniatures as base and add from there, this one from a 3rd party comes to mind. Stercus
Have a look at some of the AOS or oldhammer models. There’s lots that with a little tweaking can easily be 40k-ed. MyD4rkPassenger
The AoS Devoted of Sigmar Witch Hunter is a very cool model that could easily be converted for 40k. I've been meaning to pick it up for awhile now for my warband. FlamingDeth
If he’s a radical inquisitor then starting with an eldar base/using eldar equipment isn’t out of the question. It’s still be tricky but possible. Top guy I’m pretty sure is actually going to be too big for a regular human. Second one seems more plausible. Replacing the arms with scion arms and the head with just about any human head is a good start. I’d probably keep the weapon though if it’s a radical, just for kicks. Also would probably need to shave away a bunch of the eldar detail on the front of the torso. Also would probably need to shave away a bunch of the eldar detail on the front of the torso. I was looking at him and thought he was rather tall and slender, maybe if I just use the top half. But I'm brainstorming and this guy alone was about 3o bucks. Big investment that I didnt really want to mess up. But his parts could be changed. But I know I'm reaching. The farseer though does seem plausible. And yes I would could keep the weapon. Call it a force weapon. But yea a bit of shaving on the eldar iconography. And he's about 15 bucks. Plasmablasts
Swapping the left hand of the Farseer for one with a bolt pistol would immediately start to make him look more Imperial. Xisor
A mix of Necromunda/Harlequin parts might also give a useful 'human with Xenos gubbins' look? It's a route I've considered, but not yet dabbled in. Delta.Skies
order the parts and the far seer model. Going with - Scion Arms - Sisters of Silence Shoulder Pads - Skittari Ranger Head - Stormcast Eternals Judicators Prime Skybolt Head ( Just to play around with ideas ) - IG Command Torso ( thinking about attempting to cut it in verticaly and see if can snug it in ( the eldar iconography from chest to the swinging section is one piece ( Keeping the weapon arm and will just adjust with the scion arm, and probably will throw a combi flamer on him maybe, not sure. ) Should i even attempt to throw a back pack on him? Still thinking of replacing his feet, I have a spare stormcast, and 4 rune warriors from another game i could replace them with Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/347950-attempting-to-create-a-new-xeno-inquisitor/#findComment-5100663 Share on other sites
Delta.Skies
so the farseer came in and this I went to work. Cut the chest. Arms. And iconography. Had a hard time fitting the sliced torso in there. My measurements and straight cutting were off today. SOS shoulder pads were too small. So I used scion arms which I kept losing when they go flying off. Problem I had was keeping it together. Learned this trick with super glue and baking soda and trying for the first time I messed up by applying too much glue and the baking soda hardening outside of the gapped areas. So I have some cleaning I have to do. Will probably order another head since I cut his halo off to stick it on my watchmaster. And his gun is two bolt pistols placed together to form a stormbolter meant for a human. Problem from the jump I grabbed two different bolt pistol designs and didnt mess properly. Then the effects of tiredness and glue came into full effect as I was getting glue everywhere. Distorting the details in some places. So through the craziness he has a targeting system on top (pulse carbine grenade launcher piece I believe that's what its called) and a reflex scope on the side that I realize now, should be on the other side of he is shooting left handed. (Doh) however I'm confident I will get it right. So I hope you guys like. All comments and opinions are appreciated. Michaelum
That AoS helmet is not doing it any favors to appear as inquisition. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/347950-attempting-to-create-a-new-xeno-inquisitor/#findComment-5103775 Share on other sites

Plasmablasts
I like it. Good integration of Imperial and Aeldari aesthetics and the mask gives him quite a sinister air. Obviously quite a few steps down the road to becoming Excomunicate Traitoris. Obviously quite a few steps down the road to becoming Excomunicate Traitoris. most definitely would be considered Heretic, but creates nice story lines for games. Specially when part of my deathwatch look like chaos space marines (their trophie hunters and decorate themselves with their fallen worthy foes, mostly xeno) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/347950-attempting-to-create-a-new-xeno-inquisitor/#findComment-5108552 Share on other sites
