Stray
Stray, how’s your list looking now that the natural warlord issue has presented itself? I don't think it's affecting me very much really buddy. Now I have the ability to do so a little more sensibly, I'll be running as Renegades again. We don't get any of these fancy extra relic/warlord trait strats, so I only get the natural Warlord anyway. The core of my list will almost always be: 1x Atrapos - Warlord, Extra attack trait, -2 leadership relic (-3 in total due to it's inbuilt rule). 2x Gallant OR 1x Gallant & 1x Dual Avenger Crusader. Support units to taste, but Hellwrights are likely, Sorcerers are great because our Psychic powers are great, and I'm intrigued by the possibility of Blood Slaughterers instead of Armigers. 16 attacks, self healing, and being a Warp time target might work out nicely. Stray
Here's a better example of a list i'm considering and refining: ++ Super-Heavy Detachment +6CP (Chaos - Questor Traitoris) [79 PL, 1289pts] ++ + Lord of War + Renegade Knight [25 PL, 367pts]: Meltagun, Reaper chainsword, Thunderstrike gauntlet Renegade Knight [25 PL, 367pts]: Meltagun, Reaper chainsword, Thunderstrike gauntlet Renegade Knight Atropos [29 PL, 555pts]: WARLORD. Atropos lascutter, Graviton singularity cannon ++ Battalion Detachment +5CP (Chaos - Renegades & Heretics) [36 PL, 691pts] ++ + HQ + Renegade Commander [3 PL, 25pts]: Brutal Assault weapon, Laspistol Rogue Psyker Coven [3 PL, 100pts]: Creeping Terror, 5x Rogue Psyker + Troops + Renegade Cultists [3 PL, 40pts]: 9x Renegade Cultist w/ Autogun . Renegade Cultist Champion: Autogun Renegade Cultists [3 PL, 40pts]: 9x Renegade Cultist w/ Autogun . Renegade Cultist Champion: Autogun Renegade Cultists [3 PL, 40pts]: 9x Renegade Cultist w/ Autogun . Renegade Cultist Champion: Autogun + Elites + Renegade Command Squad [3 PL, 29pts] . Disciple Weapon Team: 2x Disciple, Mortar . 2x Disciple with lasgun Renegade Marauder Squad [4 PL, 34pts]: Stalkers . Marauder Chief: Autogun . 2x Marauder With Autogun . Marauder With Special Weapon: Sniper rifle . Marauder With Special Weapon: Sniper rifle Renegade Marauder Squad [4 PL, 34pts]: Stalkers . Marauder Chief: Autogun . 2x Marauder With Autogun . Marauder With Special Weapon: Sniper rifle . Marauder With Special Weapon: Sniper rifle Renegade Marauder Squad [4 PL, 34pts]: Stalkers . Marauder Chief: Autogun . 2x Marauder With Autogun . Marauder With Special Weapon: Sniper rifle . Marauder With Special Weapon: Sniper rifle + Heavy Support + Earthshaker Carriage Battery [3 PL, 121pts] . Earthshaker Carriage Battery: 4 Renegade guardsmen Heavy Quad Launcher Battery [3 PL, 194pts] . Heavy Quad Launcher: 3 X Renegade Crew . Heavy Quad Launcher: 3 X Renegade Crew ++ Total: [115 PL, 1980pts] ++ Created with BattleScribe 14 CP and lots of nasty tricks (hopefully). With relic, the Atrapos has a -3 leadership bubble, and I can reduce leadership by another D3 using the Psyker Coven, so minimum -4, max -6. With a lot of snipers to help pick off annoying types like Commissars, the leadership bomb ought to be fairly reasonable. I'd have enough offensive ability though that I probably wouldn't need to rely on it very heavily. Lots of back line, indirect fire shenanigans because why not? It needs a lot of work and looking at further, but it could be reasonably nasty while remaining fully in the spirit of all things Renegade Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/348212-fat-knight-tacticae-how-to-field-a-porphyrion/page/3/#findComment-5111896 Share on other sites

Clingy
Cheers, it’s a porphy, warden, Valiant joining my lone crusader I’ve got my first apoc game scheduled for tail end of this year hopefully. I want a force to be able to stop my friends warhound Titan. Will sprinkle in some of my Admech and we shall see how’s things go :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/348212-fat-knight-tacticae-how-to-field-a-porphyrion/page/3/#findComment-5115280 Share on other sites
librisrouge
Finally got to field my porphyrion and it did very well against anything that lacked an invulnerable save. Sadly, my opponent had two SW Ven Dreads with axe/shield that WOULD NOT DIE! They nearly yanked me by themselves. I’m confuse that things would’ve gone differently had he used nearly anything else in their place.
