Brotherhood of the Dead Terran White Scars.

Hi all i thought i should put my 30k scars here while i work on them.

I shall apologise to begin with as my new phone can not seem to take a good photo.

 

I have recently revised the fluff for my 5th legion and i shall include a summary below.

 

The 27th Company of the 5th legion was relic of the Great Crusade. Noted not for its battle honours but for its list of equally impressive disciplinary actions. It is commanded by the Terran warrior Turgan'Yul who was given command in an attempt to dishonour him by his Noyan-Khan. This dishonour was a misstep for the Chogorian lord commander who like all his ilk takes great disgust at the use of dreadnoughts in their legion. The 27th hailing from Terra had no such contempt and contained a considerably greater than normal number of the fighting dead. Upon hearing that this Terran had embraced his new post and undead warriors even the Great Khan himself was rumoured to have shown disgust. Dark rumours exist that those warriors who fail the Khagan in their duty, loosing their warriors but surviving themselves are force ably interred into the walking tombs and banished to walk forever in the Brotherhood of the Dead.

 

Absent from the last victories of the Great Crusade the 27th was seconded to the Iron Warriors on the Agri deathworld of Galvarax. Here they learnt the way of a slower war becoming masters of Tunnel fighting, siege warfare, and dismounted combat. Eschewing the speed based combat of their brothers the 27th cared little for the whispers and disdain from their own.

 

The 27th was forced to flee Galvarax when attacked by the forces of the Warmaster and they arrived on Terra while the Warhawk still investigated the incident on Prospero.

 

During the siege of Terra the 27th led a flanking action against the 3rd legion during the assault of the Lion's gate space port, breaching their lines via a civilian shelter. The shelter was flooded and interference from the bombardment above reduced their systems to the most basic of augaries. Emerging from the flooded shelter they were greeted by the foul sight of their once bone white armour stained red with the blood of the thousands of butchered civilians who had become the playthings of the twisted Emperor's children.

 

Enraged by the crimes against their own home world the astartes of the brotherhood emerged from the service docks and freight lifts as a bloody wave of fury smashing into the rear of Fulgrim's warriors.

 

In the days after the battle as the traitors fled Terra and the Sol system The 27th were one of the first loyalist forces off the ground in swift pursuit. For six months they chased the 3rd legion through the warp arriving at a small world without a name simple a numerical designation of the Adminstratum's explorotor fleet. Here they found the creatures responsible for the pain suffered on Terra. They fell upon the world as they had during the early days of the great Crusade. The local human population who had begun to worship the twisted giants charged the White Scars with little more than bows and iron weapons.

 

The Brotherhood now painted their armour with red so that they would never forget the shame of letting their people suffer at the hands of chaos.

 

My force is shown in the waning days of the Heresy and the early days of the Scouring.

 

 

 

Turgan'yul Master of the Dead, Reaper of Galvarax.

 

 

 

Vikto valas the stubborn. Master of the signal 27th company of the White scars. Vikto like many terrains of the 27th grew up in the rad wastes of ursh. He refused to take a chogrian name on acceptance to the legion and only learnt the language out of necessity. You'll not find a more accurate combat controller in the 5th legion though having been honoured by Dorn himself after calling in firesupport mere feet from the walls of the Imperial palace itself. During the defence of Galvarax Vikto was instrumental in cracking the Iron Warriors cyphers and calling thier orbital fire down on their own forces.

 

 

 

 

Chaplain Xu was appointed to the Brotherhood not to keep an eye on the StormSeers like most but on personal order of the Primarch himself to keep a watchful eye on the souls of the walking dead.

 

 

 

 

The StormSeer Lei'Kung is the only Chogorian who ever requested a transfer to the 27th he is the counterbalance the warm heart to the grimfaced Turgan'Yul.

 

 

 

Tech Adept Bei is often ridiculed due to his size, the smallest brother in the company he is a key part of their mechanised forces keeping the 27th moving towards their enemies.

 

 

Breaching team Isha are a fast moving unit that often accompanies their larger brothers into the firestorm of combat. They are well know for being fist into breached structures moving past defenders seeking out weakpoints and high value targets.

 

 

 

Cao the unphased a Terran verteran who fell to the Xenos of Rigeallas VII

 

 

 

 

 

Vir the Terrible the savage guardian.Terran veteran who fell during the subjugation of Ursh, Vir never set foot off Terra as a man and had been intered since before Turgan even joined the legion. He is a formidable warrior having carried a chunk of the walls of the imperial palace with him since the siege. He killed a greater Daemon in one on one combat and much to chagrin of those around him proudy displays his grusome trophy.

He walked the planes of old Terra along side the Emperor, he watched Thuderwarriors tear down the palaces of Ursh and burn their armys. During the seige of Terra he was the last member of the 27th to retreat to behind the palace walls. Dragging a chunk of the wall with him the ancient demanded the tech marines of the 7th legion afix it to his shattered arm. As the rest of the 5th legion sallied forth to hunt the 3rd Vir stalked the necropolis that was once the underhives of Terra waging a one machine war on the flitting shadows of the Night lords.

These are great! Very retro, remind me of the 3rd ed Marine codex a bit with more flair.

 

Like the alternative colours and such, very obvious they are Scars but still nicely different.
