SnakeChisler
Just coming off the back of a few games and the hybrid units have been putting in some serious work. 6 intercessors 4 Hellblaster's Sgt has a power sword & also include a grenade launcher then combat squad to 3 + 2. Still run some vetrans but giving them stalkers and doing the bike/Vanguard split have added only weapons you can do the mortal wound strat on tho. I've tried various mixes but the beta DS stops you really going to town on pimped kill teams, aggressors still need dropping in though. Anyway 500 points gets you 4 squads and a solid long/medium range fire support. Lemondish
I haven't had to drop in Aggressors thanks to the ablative wounds provided from Intercessors - the ability to mix these kill teams have made each Primaris option outside Reivers so much more resilient and flexible. Absolutely loving the Intercessor Hellblaster mix - but I never leave home without an Inceptor since I usually stay to 9/10 man squads. I'll have to try your combat squad approach, though. Prot
I haven’t really liked my Primaris kill teams with Helblasters. Can you elaborate a bit on how they’re working for you? SnakeChisler
I haven’t really liked my Primaris kill teams with Helblasters. Can you elaborate a bit on how they’re working for you? 1St off I tried the big squads and playing maelstrom as we do they just were too clunky, I shifted to hybrid squads and then doing the combat tactics of splitting into 5 man groups and with the range of Hellblaster's and the fact I had re-roll support they started to really perform. I use them as support to the more forward units and focus down on the missions, more often than not there burning infantry especially if there in double tap range. I like to field aggressors in a split unit as well Generally as a more in your face option and people tend to focus down on the T5 units 1St The weakness though is anti armour luckily in my area people have moved to a more infantry heavy meta for various reasons, even so with strategems + the odd Librarian you can pump out a fair amount of mortal wound support Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/348323-10-man-intercessors-hellblasters-kill-teams/#findComment-5109550 Share on other sites

After a few games of them starting on the board, I've shifted to earmarking them for the Teleportarium. They're equipped with bolt rifles, 4 Hellblasters with rapid fire, and 1 plasma Inceptor. It solves two of the biggest issues with Hellblasters - how quickly they lose degrade as they take damage, and how easy they are to normally silence with combat. Dropping in with the right doctrine, mission tactics, and a captain aura nearby makes them totally capable of murdering T8 vehicles.
