antique_nova
No one in god's great name. Or the Emperor's or any of the dark gods enjoy doing the tracks of any vehicle, because there are so many bits and pieces and it's oh so tedious. So, you can imagine the horror on my face, when I was commissioned to do 9 Leman Russ Tanks and 3 Predators. That's a lot of tank tracks. But I managed to devise a very fast, simple and easy way to do it. But for some reason, the forum won't accept the picture I wanted to show as an example, saying it was too big, when it clearly wasn't. However, onto the tip. Simply grab a board or the box that your tank came in and then grab some blue tac and roll it out into a thin line and then neatly cut off all your tracks and simply press them onto the bluetack. Then just spray whatever colour you want and do your washes. If you want to do it even faster and are willing to spend more, then buy some double sided sticky tape. And that's it. Easy to do it. Now, go crush your enemies with legions of tanks! Imren
I find it way more time efficient not to cut them out of their sprues. Instead, prime them black, drysbrush warplock bronze, and sponge on leadbelcher and runefang steel. Then do your washes. Easier to handle them on their sprues. Then cut out and assemble them on the tanks.
